Trailrunning Moments
At an altitude of over 1,500 meters
In Warth-Schröcken we offer the ideal combination of sport, mountain air and nature. The focus is on deceleration, variety and closeness to nature. Our varied trail running routes take you through untouched landscapes, past glittering mountain lakes and offer impressive views. There are also easy routes for beginners to try out the trail running feeling.
Thanks to the altitude of Warth and Schröcken, you can easily start from the valley. Use mountain railways for your high alpine altitude training or climb the surrounding peaks for even greater challenges. The Königstour, a 43.7-kilometre-long route, leads once around the two Walser mountain villages and, with 2,179 metres of ascent and descent, offers a demanding challenge with breathtaking views at an altitude of over 2,100 metres.
Altitude Training
Did you know this?
In the mountains above 1,500 meters, you can take a deep breath and benefit from the health benefits of the mountain air. The lower oxygen pressure promotes the production of red blood cells, which leads to improved oxygenation of the body. This increases health and well-being, reduces stress and is further enhanced by exercise in the mountains.
